Awareness Campaign to Love Champaign

Visiting designer Bernard Canniffe challenged our social design class to solve a community problem with design. Through speaking with several members of the community, we came up with Love Champaign; a week long celebration of the people and local businesses residing in Champaign. We used guerrilla marketing techniques including snow advertising with food coloring and cloth hearts to advertise our events. Screen printed posters were distributed to local business along with blank valentines for the community to fill out. The week ended in a local gallery exhibition of the collected valentines.

This project received an Honorable Mention from AIGA San Francisco cause/affect competition.
